Bhatkal at Maghrib: the minaret and rooftops against a warm evening sky.

بھٹکل نماز کے اوقات·भटकल नमाज़ का समय

What this is

A page and an app that show Bhatkal’s five daily prayer times — the masjid’s own, not a calculation — today, for every day of the year, and for Ramzan. The app puts them on your lock screen and home screen, can silence the phone through the prayer, and can play the azan. Both are free, carry no advertising, and ask nothing about you.

The times

They are taken from the printed Auqatus Salat of Bhatkal, compiled by Muhammad Iqbal Mulla Nadvi of Bhatkal, Karnataka, for 13°59′N, 74°33′E — the sheet pinned up in the masjid. It is perpetual: each date has one time, the same every year. Asr follows the earlier (Shafi’i) column, as Bhatkal’s masjids do; Isha follows the Isha I column, which matches the times published locally. The sheet also carries the Hanafi Asr and two other Isha readings, and the app can show them. These are azan times: the sheet has no jamaat times and none are invented.

If a time here disagrees with your masjid, trust your masjid.

Privacy

The app asks for no location, no storage, no contacts and no account, and carries no analytics and no advertising. It uses the internet for one thing: to check whether there is a new version, and to fetch it when you choose. Automatic silent and the azan are off until you switch them on, and each explains what it needs before it does. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
